What value can you put on experience?
In a recent survey of 3500 employers, 25% of respondents reported that mature aged workers had been replaced by younger employees. Another 25% reported mature aged workers had suffered as a result of downsizing. And how old are the mature aged? In Telecommunications, Advertising & Media around half of respondents said that only 10% of employees were over 45 years. In the survey only 8% of respondents named "inability to adapt to new technology" as the reason for the decrease in mature workers.
